Myspace
I have finally created a Myspace page. I'm hoping it will help market to seniors and anyone else looking for portraits. It seems to be the latest trend and I have to say it is a bit fun! :)
Check it out at myspace.com/crystalclearphotosme.

I'm on a roll! I've set a new goal to do at least 2 pages a week...let's see how well I do. :)
Here are 2 digital scrapbook pages I did today of our whale watching trip on Monday. Enjoy!

The Monthly Lesson

Here are a few examples to show you what a difference this simple step makes. This first image of baby feet has a very subtle change, but it brings out the detail a little bit.
Notice how flat the image on the left is compared to the contrast in the image on the right? (this is my youngest son's little baby face when he was 9 months old!)
This last image shows the greatest improvement. The more contrast used in a B&W image the better! It gives it a high fashion look with a lot of pop!
I hope this helps you! I am always open to suggestions for future lessons. Please let me know what you would like to learn and I will do my best to feed you with information. If there is any interest out there for tips on working with Photoshop, I'd be more than happy to extend these lessons to that area. Just post a comment here or email me with your ideas!

Whale Watching!
Yesterday, in celebration of my birthday, my mom and I took the boys whale watching in Booth Bay. It was so much fun! Logan and Gavin were so excited to see a REAL whale! :)
Here are some of my favorite moments from the day.
We saw harbor seals...
...and, as Gavin would say, a "BIG whale!"
There were 2 finback whales. They can grow to be 80 feet long!
My boys are so goofy!
On the way back to shore we passed Pumpkin rock...there were so many seals sunbathing you could barely see the rock under them!! Some were on the rock and some were swimming...poking their heads out of the water. :)
It was so great to see the boys having fun!

It's My Birthday! :)
Today I am 27! I will be back later this week with the monthly lesson...but today I'm off to spend the day in Portland (maybe do a little whale watching if the rain lets up!)
In the meantime, I'm glad to say I've made an effort to get my scrapbooking done (bit by bit). In the past month I've done 5 traditional pages (that I hope to scan someday to show you all) and I just did 2 more digital pages the other day :) What do you think!
I still have a lot to do! Happy Scrapping!
